Batteries wear out, but a few good habits can make yours last longer each day and for more years. These are the ones our support team recommends.
For your phone
- Lower the screen brightness or enable adaptive brightness
- Turn on low power mode when you're below 30%
- Keep it between 20% and 80% when you can
- Update to the latest software for efficiency improvements
For your laptop
Close apps you aren't using, reduce the keyboard backlight and use the battery-saving mode on the go. Avoid leaving it plugged in at 100% all the time.
For earbuds and headphones
Store them in their case, don't leave them in a hot car and use one earbud at a time on long days to alternate battery use.
Heat is the enemy
Heat shortens battery life far more than anything else. Keep devices out of direct sun and don't charge them under a pillow.
