Database and purchase code

Create an empty database and user, and find your CodeCanyon purchase code.

The setup wizard asks for two things you must prepare beforehand: an empty database and your purchase code.

Create the database#

Sellora stores products, orders and settings in a MySQL or MariaDB database.

In cPanel#

Log in to cPanel and open MySQL Databases (or MySQL Database Wizard).
Under Create New Database type a name (for example shop) and click Create Database. cPanel adds your account prefix, so the real name looks like myaccount_shop.
Under MySQL Users create a user with a strong password. Write the real user name down.
Under Add User To Database choose the user and the database, click Add, tick ALL PRIVILEGES and save.
Write down these four values:

Value	Example
Database host	`localhost` (or `127.0.0.1`)
Database name	`myaccount_shop`
Database user	`myaccount_shopuser`
Password	the one you chose

With phpMyAdmin or the command line#

CREATE DATABASE sellora CHARACTER SET utf8mb4 COLLATE utf8mb4_unicode_ci;
CREATE USER 'sellora'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'a-strong-password';
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON sellora.* TO 'sellora'@'localhost';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

Note

If your server uses an authentication method PHP cannot use, the wizard tells you to create the user with the mysql_native_password plugin. On a VPS: CREATE USER ... IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY '...'.

If your database user is allowed to create databases, the wizard can also create the database for you. On shared hosting that is usually not allowed, so create it in the control panel as above.

Find your purchase code#

Sign in to your CodeCanyon account and open Downloads.
Find Sellora and click Download, then License certificate & purchase code.
Copy the purchase code. It looks like 86781e1c-1b8b-4f4f-aa9a-0c2a8f3b6f01 (36 characters).

You also need the e-mail address of your CodeCanyon account (optional in the wizard, but recommended).

How the code is checked

The wizard always checks the code format. A purchase code covers one live site. If the licence server cannot be reached, installation continues and you can verify the licence later.
