Shipping
Set up shipping zones and methods - flat rate, free, pickup, weight based and order-total based.
Open Settings > Shipping.
General options#
- Enable shipping - turn it off for stores that only sell digital products.
- Free shipping threshold - orders above this amount ship free.
- Origin country, weight unit and dimension unit.
Zones#
A zone is a set of destinations (countries and regions). Customers are matched to the zone that fits their shipping address, and see the methods you set for that zone. The default data has a United States zone and a Worldwide zone as examples.
- Click Add zone.
- Name it and choose its countries (and regions, if you want finer control).
- Add one or more methods to the zone.
Tip
If a customer's country is in no zone, they cannot choose a shipping method. Keep a Worldwide zone as a fallback, or exclude countries you do not ship to by leaving them out.
Methods#

Each method has a title (shown at checkout), an optional description / delivery estimate, a sort order and an on/off switch. Add as many methods per zone as you like: for example standard flat rate, express flat rate and free shipping above 75.
Set weights on products (Products > edit > inventory) for weight-based methods to work.
What the customer sees#
At checkout, after entering the address, the customer sees the methods available for that zone with prices already converted to their currency. The free-shipping progress bar in the cart uses the free-shipping threshold.
Taxes on shipping#
Whether shipping is taxed is controlled by the checkout tax setting Shipping is taxable - see Taxes.
